Watch our teaser trailer!
(Sorry about the ad beside the video, it's part of the Proboards YouTube tags and we can't remove it.)
Have we caught your attention? Watch the full length 3 min version here!
Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?
[/b] Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make: - Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd.
- Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel.
- Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd.
- Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.
We are also accepting staff applications for Global Moderators, Graphics Designers and Skin Designer. What's going on... ?There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?
The board is set, the pieces are in play. Whose side will you join?

[/url] Your entire life you have played it safe. You thought things through before acting, pondering over all possible consequences for your actions, so when the result emerged you were not surprised with what you received. But what would happen if you did not think things through. What would happen if for the first time you acted on the spur of the moment, throwing all thought processes out the window and took the risk you have never taken before. What if you were willing to throw away everything you have learned previously, and took that gamble? If you are ready to take that step, then we welcome you to Risking It All.
Here at Risking It All the human population has dwindled down in the city of Cascaro, leaving the canines to dominate the streets. Many buildings have become abandoned over time providing territories waiting to be explored. Four packs emerge with the passing of time: the evil Kotori, the intelligent Hinto, the neutral Tokala, and the kind Aponi. Each pack has taken over a different quadrant of the city, Kotori having the North, Hinto the South, Tokala the East and Aponi the West. Each claimed a headquarters and reside within the other territories of their region, not claiming them officially but having a large amount of their kind thriving in these areas.
But what would happen if a single canine had the courage to rebel against this share of power? What if a Kotori member entered the Western quadrant, or a Tokala canine wandered into the South? What if someone was the first to break rules which had remained concrete for decades, just to prove a point? Are you the one strong enough to stand out from the crowd? Or are you one to linger in the shadows, waiting for others to take the lead first? Decide your own character’s fate, join a pack or remain a maverick, and enter the city of Cascaro where your fate is in your own hands, and where the largest gamble you will ever take could turn upside down.
Risking It All is an advanced level of roleplay, meaning we have a 400 word minimum for every in character post and reply. We have just opened on May 22, 2009 and are looking for active members who have some kind of roleplay experience previously, for we are a fast moving and higher leveled site. If you are prepared to take the gamble then we encourage you to join us, as we prepare ourselves for Risking It All

After the unjust suffering of local cats by the hands of a mysterious corporation, the residents of a country town by the name of Stillwater try to cover up media attention by means of ridding themselves of any evidence connecting them to the event. Test subjects are rounded up by the pound and 'put to sleep', or so it is affectionately called. Those that escape their fate face the harsh judgment of their peers, the streets, and themselves.
While some cats have folded willingly upon themselves and shut out their dark and painful pasts, others are not so willing to forget. Hushed whispers are spreading like wildfire around town and among the feline community about a violent gang that seem bent on getting revenge...

» Opened: March 1, 2009 » Feral Street Dog Roleplay » Friendly Staff & Members » 200 Word Posting Minimum » No Banned Breeds or Character Limits
Back in 2007, Boulevard of Broken Dreams opened to the public and within a few months the member count reached to about sixty members. Sadly, the site shut down in late December of 2007, but now we have re-opened! Along with the three packs (Faron the kind, Sheridan the cunning and Svartur the bloodthirsty), who are always competing to be the rulers of Napell City, now there is a new gang called the Monet gang. They are a small group of purebred dogs that want to take over the city and chase the mutts off the streets. They believe they are the best of the best and deserve the position of being rulers of Napell. The constant wars and fights on the streets have blinded each and every canine, including the loners. A huge bird migration of "vultures" will soon become a serious issue to all dogs living in Napell. These "vultures" will kill anything in their paths and if the problem does not cease then the town will be taken over by these birds.
Will the canine killing vultures destroy all life in Napell City? Will the packs and the new gang join forces to end this invasion? Or will they be too blinded with anger at one another to realize their empire is crumbling? The only way to find out is to join us at Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

In the grassy plains of (insert place here) two mighty packs ruled the earth for centuries. Both in a struggle to survive they came together forming a unique bond, which the other smaller creatures looked up to. They served as protectors of the land living in a world where boundaries did not exist. Sharing their territories they grew stronger in time, and as years passed the wolves and the large cats formed the first council. There would be two alphas from each pack, five warriors, a scout, and of course an elder. But as all councils are formed, there were rules.
One must never turn on the other in violence. One must always share their food and never keep it to one’s self. One must always follow the rules. One must never act upon mutiny. One must remain respectful of both sides. and most importantly... One must never let an outsider into the borders.
Times were changing like the seasons and soon there was a new threat that wandered into the valley, creatures that walked upon two legs. With them they brought destruction and murderous acts, they killed many of the smaller animals that provided food to the protectors. Fearing not only of starvation and for the safety of their own lives they attacked. It took many days for this battle to be won, and several were lost at the hands of the two feet, but they had finally succeeded in driving them out. Now it would seem that this was the end, but another strange creature emerged. This one had been led by the two feet watching in the shadows however, it was not the only one. A few more emerged, some of them looked like the wolves and some of them looked like the large cats. But they were still different, smaller and more wary of the protectors. The small cats were found in a strange traps scattered all over where the two feet had been staying, and tethered to the tree lay the dogs.
An argument took place on what to do with these creatures that were somewhat similar to them. Some said that they should welcome them for they were their brothers and sisters alike, while others argued that they were with the two feet and that they were outsiders. A small fight took place before one wolf and one large cat stepped forward to take responsibility for the newcomers. They would take them in as a new pack suggested that together they could help protect their lands further. A few others liking this idea joined them and moved to take their stand beside their friends both cat and wolves alike.
The others did not like this and called them traitors. But who was the traitor exactly? The wolves said it was the large cats who were the real traitors in this scheme, while the large cats argued that it was the wolves who were the traitors. Both way one rule was broken, and the traitors were banned. Leaving quietly they went in search of a place to live far in deep woods that had never before been entered, here they stayed as the peacemakers of the forest hoping to find a solution to bring the packs together again.
Meanwhile a battle was underway with the wolves on one side and the large cats on the other. From now on it was said that they would be sworn enemies and kill if either one stepped out of their boundary. The wolves moved to the north, while the cats claimed the south. The plains became the hunting grounds where food was scarce, but it was either life or death when entering for at anytime you could become the next prey.
Are you a wolf, a large cat, a peacemaker? Whose side will you take in this battle...the choice is yours. Just remember to tread with caution.

Might I make a tiny suggestion? make a board for link backs instead of a thread? Your ad will be able to be seen by guests, but as my forum has to link back on a thread, it will not be seen as often. Just a suggestion. -Faden

[home] • [plot] • [rules]World War II has ended badly...
There was a surrender, a call to lay down weapons and throw up white flags. But the Allies never left, they continued to push. Push, until there was nothing left. --- Germany has been wiped almost entirely off the global map; bereft of most of its inhabitants... The Jews are free after what felt like an eternity of fighting; what's left of them anyway...
And now?
More than just human veterans crawled away from the wreckage, nursing old wounds and warding off memories better left forgotten. Dogs from all walks of life and nationalities are now moving in, carrying on the feuds of their former masters long after the sounds of automatic rifle fire and frag grenades detonating. --- One by one, pack leaders arose to form both unity and division among the ruins of old battle fields. Military dogs, strays, no matter. Everyone is moving in, and most importantly, picking a side.
Wolven Hund Othello Teufelhunden Purpurrote Herzen
Each pack has their own set of rules. Goals to accomplish. Plans to execute. Oaths to fulfill... And as with all differences comes...conflict.
Allow me to put it this way, none are giving up without a fight.

Something strange is happening and none of us know what to do. It started with just a few of us, but now more and more of us are changing, discovering strange gifts that we don’t understand.
For hundreds of years, all of the grex have followed a basic code that calls for loyalty and service to one’s grex and natuk. A gryphon follows one of two paths in service to his grex: the path of the scout or the path of the guardian. But now a new path has opened up before us: one of spirituality. The Watchers have gifted us with the ability to understand and change the world around us in a new way: with our mind and wills.
But now something has gone wrong. These “gifts” are changing us into something new. Worse, some of the grex are embracing the darkness within them and becoming greedy for land. Wars are breaking out on our borders. Ally grex have turned traitor and our land is being destroyed from the inside out.
My gift warns me that something terrible is coming. My Sight is growing dark and blood is rising on the horizon: I see it like a flood, rising to swallow us whole. The Watchers have fallen silent and leave us to our own ends.
Is this the end of all we know?Gryphon Wars[Home] [Story] [Classes] [Advertising]

Xx tainted Many say it is the era of humans. That they rein over the cities. Influencing their ways onto the land. Even so, there are a select species, that think otherwise. Those that rebel in their own ways. Some seek to live beside humans, others seek to overpower them. And there are those who wish for no change. No matter how they choose to live, they are the canines of the streets. Living on the streets, has given power to these canines. They have learned freedom. They have learned how to love, how to hate. Some, if not all have learned how to kill. Each day they face death in their face. Each day they are risking their life, if not the live of others. Some call this way of life, a game. Others call it a risk. Some call it life. A tainted life for sure.
Its a new beginning, changes for sure will occur. Four packs have arised. A war has started. Where will you be?

I N T O T H E M I S TInto The Mist is a semi-lit and up Warrior Cats Roleplay. Though this site is relatively new, it is a back-up copy of the old ITM which was, saddly, deleted. Thankfully, most of the boards and bios had been salavaged earlier, and we're working on finding and getting our members back.PLOT!! Unrest is stirring in the Clans. Ancient traditions set by StarClan are being temperairly forgotten in hard times. WindClan's new leader, Bluestar, has finally chosen her deputy, Spicefur- and not a moment too soon. ThunderClan kits and their father have stumbled into camp, wounded and sick, causing the Clan to take sides on what to do with them. RiverClan rejoiced when StarClan gave them new medicine cats, Swanfeather and Viperpaw, only to be crushed, as they too have disappeared without a word during leaf-bare, replaced moons later in the budding new-leaf with Smokestream and Mosspaw. ShadowClan still is at loss for a new deputy, though one will be chosen before the next moon. ThunderClan is recovering from the shocking truth that their beloved Flamestripe's true intentions for their Clan were not what anyone had intended. They're also furious and worried at the loss of their only new litter of kits in seasons and one of their best warriors, preparing to do anything to get them back.
Many of the high positions are being replaced, and its impossible not to noticed. There's tension in the Clans as ranks are being switched around, and the first Gathering will probably be very rough-- especially with RiverClan's new leaders, Riverstar and Cranefeather, the last to have seen the great Silverstar. A WindClan queen has no explination for her fatherless kits' pelts; one colored midnight like no other WindClanner and one bearing a disturbing resemblance to a fellow she-cat in the Clan. Skyfire in ShadowClan is slowly loosing his sight, just as he recieved his first apprentice, Mintpaw. ThunderClan is starting to bicker between themselves, and they're running dangerously low on warriors. Rumors are spreading, and before long, war is declared. Will you help the Clans rebuild themselves after an unknown disaster has left the few surviving members confused and scrambling for order? Or will you stand by and watch as a loner as the Clans destroy themselves from the inside out?
